Asus Launches Zenfone Live with ‘BeautyLive’ beautification technology for Live Videos

Taiwanese PC and mobile products maker today unveiled ZenFone Live, the world’s first smartphone with hardware-optimized, real-time beautification technology engineered into the brand-new BeautyLive app that enables the users to share glamorous live videos.

The biggest highlight of the Asus ZenFone Live is its front camera with large, 1.4µm sensor pixels for 2X-greater light sensitivity and a dedicated soft-light LED flash. ZenFone Live has dual micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) microphones to help eliminate background noise and enhance voice pickup, an innovative five-magnet speaker and smart amplifier, along with the DTS Headphone:X all packed in a lustrous sandblasted metallic finish.

BeautyLive app

The ZenFone Live’s all-new BeautyLive app comes with real-time beautification for creating and maintaining their perfect look when going live on their social-networking sites.

BeautyLive combines smart software algorithms and hardware acceleration to automatically smooth skin and remove blemishes, and it integrates with Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Also, the BeautyLive feature works with both front and rear camera.

The selfie camera on the Zenfone Live has a 2X-greater light sensitivity, soft-light LED flash and 82° field of view for snapping sharp and clear selfies. The sensor has an extra-large 1.4μm pixel that improves sensitivity to light by up to 200 percent compared to smartphones with standard smaller pixels. ZenFone Live also has a soft-light LED flash that illuminates true skin tones, and it’s equipped with a 82° wide-angle lens for capturing wide field of area.

The rear camera on the ZenFone Live is a 13MP shooter with f/2.0-aperture, five-prism rear lens, and ASUS PixelMaster’s low-light technology to increase light sensitivity by up to 400 percent. It also enhances noise reduction and boosts color contrast by up to 400 percent. It supports up to 12 different camera modes, including real-time Beautification, Low Light and Super Resolution modes, to captures beautiful, high-resolution photos.

Dual Microphones:

The ZenFone Live has a pair of highly sensitive MEMS microphones that are precisely positioned to reduce noise.


The Asus ZenFone Live features a five-magnet design and metal voice coil to produce loud and clear audio. The speaker is powered by an amplifier that increases audio resolution and loudness. The ZenFone Live also features DTS Headphone:X, a surround-sound technology that synthesizes a full 7.1-channel virtual surround-sound experience.  ZenFone Live produces and delivers audio that according to Asus is up to 67 percent louder than the previous generation, while also extending low-frequency reproduction by up to 17 percent and reducing distortion by up to 15 percent. The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS HD display with strong glass for on top for precision and safety.

The Asus Zenfone Live is available in three colors — Navy Black, Rose Pink, and Shimmer Gold at a price tag of Rs.9999 on all major E-tailers.
