Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) launched its latest high-end gaming laptop Asus ROG Strix GL553 in India. The laptop was showcased at CES 2017 offering plenty of mesmerising features for high end laptop gaming. Taiwanese manufacturer, Asus has launched the Asus ROG Strix GL553 Gaming Laptop in two variants starting at a price tag of Rs.94,990.
According to Asus, the Strix GL553 offers a gamer friendly keyboard powered by Asus Aura with in-built four LED lighting area. It has features like 30-key rollover and a 2.5mm key travel. The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display that has a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Asus ROG Strix GL553 Gaming Laptop is launched in two variants and the user can select either from Intel Core i5-7300HQ and Core i7-7700HQ processor. The machines are coupled with either 8GB or 16GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM – though the ROG Strix GL553 supports up to 32GB DDR4 RAM. It is running on 64-bit Windows 10 with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB/4GB GDDR5 graphics memory, or NVidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card with 4GB of GDDR4 video memory.
For connectivity, Asus ROG strix GL553 offers 2xUSB 3.0 ports (including 1xUSB Type-C port), 1xUSB 2.0 port, and 1xHDMI port. It has one headphone/microphone jack, one 2-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity.
The Strix GL553 measures 383x255x21mm in dimensions weighing 2.5kg and house a 48WHr battery. It ships with a 2.5-inch 1TB 7200RPM HDD, though users could also opt for a 128/ 256GB SATA III SSD.
