CES 2017, Las Vegas: Dell has taken the monitor with its latest 32-inch dell monitor. Crafted in an aluminium body, the latest UP3218K display from Dell is refined and ready with a minimal bezel design offering all the adjustments such as: Pivot, tilt, swivel and height. Well, that’s just the single aspect. The latest UP3218K display offers a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels with a pixel density of 280ppi. Which counts down to a total of 33.2 Mega-Pixels image size. The 8K monitor offers 1.07 billion colors with 100 percent coverage of AdobeRGB, sRGB and Rec709 color spectrums.
If what’ on the paper is to be believed, than the latest 32-inch display should deliver a crisper picture compared to the Apple’s iMAC 5K Retina Display. The Apple’s 5K retina display offers only 218 ppi and the Surface Studio offers 192 ppi compared to the unmatchable 280ppi on UP3218K display from Dell.
The Dell UP3218K display measures a screen size of 31.5-inch with 60Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of brightness. The contrast ratio is super high at 1,300:1. For connectivity, it offers 2x Display Port 1.3, Audio line–out and 4x USB 3.0 ports with 1x BC 1.2 charging capability.
While most of the content is still not available in 4K, What dell is trying to offer is something not for usual consumers but for professionals that work with photographs and content creation. Of course it also means that there are no games available to be played on 8K display. Which means photographers now doesn’t have to use software zoom to see the pixel details.
But, I don’t think one would buy a US $5000 just for gaming. Oh yes, its priced at JUST US $4,999 (roughly Rs. 3,40, 000).
