Rumours of Google working on a bigger Pixel smartphone were out previously, and now it makes complete sense. If we look at the history of smartphones from the company, than the previous data suggest that Google loves Big smartphones.
In 2012 the company launched 4.7-inch Nexus 4 (Mako), In 2013 it launched 5-inch Nexus 5 (Hammerhead), than in 2014 a 6-inch Nexus 6 (Shamu), Nexus 5X (Bullhead) was of 5.2-inch screen size, Nexus 6P (Anger) was of 5.7-inch and the last year launched Pixel (Sailfish) was 5.1-inch device while the Pixel XL( Marlin) was of 5.5-inch.
This data suggest that over a period of time Google has worked on bigger devices and we believe that the company is following the same this time as well. Information is that Google has named its latest fish, muskies (circa 17kg / 38lbs), which are significantly larger than walleyes (11kg / 24lbs), and taimen that are truly massive and can weigh over 100kg / 220 lbs.
While the upcoming Google Pixel 2 is bigger than its predecessor, rumours state that there will be a Pixel 3, either it’s a smartphone or a tablet is not clear so far. However, there are possibilities that the company could surprise us with a Nexus tablet this time as well.
Well, if we look at the other upcoming flagships, than Samsung is launching its latest Galaxy S8 smartphone on March 29, which is also rumoured to feature a 5.8-inch display. LG is also working on a latest variant of V20 smartphone.
