The latest leaks of Moto G5 and G5 Plus are out. Lenovo’s Moto G5 smartphone is going to be announced at the MWC 2017 event starting in a few days and Lenovo has already sent out the invites for the event. Noted tipster Evans Blass has once again leaked the specifications and photos of the upcoming Moto G5 smartphone, however this time it’s confirmed.
Blass shared photos and specifications of upcoming Moto G5 on his twitter page (@evleaks). Whereas, full specifications of the smartphone were listed online by e-tailer Ktronix, later the listings were pulled down.
The previous leaks suggested that Moto G5 will be unveiled in 5.5-inch display size. Which according to Blass’ report on Venture Beat, states that Moto G5 won’t sport a 5.5-inch FHD display like the previous phones: instead the smartphone will come in a 5-inch FHD version and a 5.2-inch FHD version, which is called the Moto G5 Plus.
As far as specifications are concerned, Venture Beat confirms that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor on G5 Plus and Snapdragon 430 on Moto G5, while the RAM will remain the same 2GB for both variants. For storage, the G5 Plus will have a 64GB variant available as well.
For optics, Moto G5 Plus will boast a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual autofocus pixel. However, Moto G5 will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera, suggests the report. A report posted on Weibo last week suggested that G5 Plus will have a Sony IMX362 sensor 12MP camera, with F1.7 aperture, PDAF support, which turns out to be correct.
Weibo also leaked a photo of the smartphone suggesting that the Moto G5 Plus will have a metal finish rear panel. If it turns out to be true, then it would be a major design shift in Motorola smartphones from its earlier generations.
On the other hand, Tipster Roland Quandt of Winfuture.DE earlier tweeted that the Moto G5 will be in stores shortly after the MWC launch. He had also put out the leaked pricing for the upcoming phones.
According to his tweets, Lenovo Moto G5 will launch at price tag starting at 189 Euro (Rs 13,500 approx) for the 2GB RAM+16GB version, while the 3GB RAM version will be price 209 Euro (Rs 14,800 approx). However, the latest report hints, Motorola is unveiling only 2GB RAM on both phones.
