Sony unveiled mid-range model in its refreshed “X” series, Sony Xperia XA1. Taking forward the success of last year’s XA model, the XA1 features a borderless design with edge-to-edge screen, 23MP camera and octa core SoC. The smartphone was announced at the MWC conference 2017 at Barcelona, alongside three other devices. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xperai XZs and Xperia XA1 Ultra. The Xperia XA1 smartphone is launched in India in white, pink and black colour variants.
Talking about the specifications, sony Xperia XA1 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core (quad core 2.3GHz + quad core 1.6GHz) SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 256GB via microSD.
Camera on the smartphone include a 23-megapixel Exmor RS image sensor with hybrid autofocus, 24mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, 5x zoom, and HDR mode. The Sony Xperia XA1’s front camera is at 8-megapixel with no front flash or OIS.
The sony Xperia XA1 packs a 2300mAh battery, and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and NFC. It is running on the latest Android version Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Lastly, it includes Qnovo adaptive charging technology that monitors the battery health and adjusts charging current accordingly to avoid damage. There’s also a Stamina Mode that keeps your battery going for longer when you really need it the most by disabling some of the functions and extending the lifetime.
