Asus has recently been announcing a lot of gaming notebooks and desktops in its ROG lineup, out of which the company is keenly focussing on Notebook segment and offering various cutting edge technologies under a price bracket like never before. Not only the company is announcing gaming beasts, the machines are packed with a technology so advance that may perhaps give you Goosebumps.
Well, considering the spec sheet to be so big, the only question that comes to our mind is how manufacturers are integrating the massive hardware in such a sleek body. And this gives us an image of how tiny things could become in the near future, whether they are made for gaming or any other task, the size will constantly reduce in the coming time. And Asus has become a tough competitor recently for any other company available in gaming Notebooks arena. Well, now let us look at the latest product from Asus, The ROG G752 VS, a gaming notebook especially constructed for high-end gamers.
But, before we jump into the features and performance of the Asus ROG G752VS gaming beast, let’s look at some recent products announced by the company.
Check out the list of gaming machines launched by Asus recently: Asus Products
Starting with form factor first.
The Asus ROG G752VS is crafted out of a rugged material with smooth surface around its keyboard and palm rest area. The company has used an Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper color scheme which blends perfectly with gaming ambience. The LED Backlit keys on the ROG G752VS are rightly positioned and each key sits exactly at the same place where you expect it. Why I mentioned the position of the keys? Well, sometimes it happens that brands position the keys in their notebooks in such a fashionable manner that they miss out on the ergonomics completely, which ultimately turns gaming into nothing but a keypad tutorial session.
Although, we liked the backlit keys, they only glow red light, which may get boring after a couple of weeks. An RGB lighting effect might have been a better option instead of using a solo color.
If we talk about the dimensions of the Asus ROG G752VS, the machine measures 16.85 x 13.14 x 2.08 inches (WxDxH) and weighs 9.61 lbs (nearly 4.35Kgs) with Battery. The notebook is comparatively heavy and lifting it with single hand may leave you disappointing. Also, you’ll need a special backpack because of the humongous size of the 17.3-inch display.
Starting with the display first, the Display on the ROG G752VS is a 17.3-inch 4K UHD screen. It produces very lively colors in every video and game that you play. Also, there’s so much of brightness packed inside its panel that you’ll have to keep the levels at 80% most of the times. Screen is perfectly visible from narrow angles with equal amount of detailing in them. However, you may feel that the colors are washing out during some of the video playback, but that only happens a couple of times. Also, considering it to be a gaming machine, the video quality offered by the ROG G752VS was mesmerising in 4K resolution. Display is not flimsy and sits stiff all the time offering you the perfect gaming experience.
Keyboard on the Asus ROG G752VS is a normal soft plastic chiclet keyboard. It’s a full size keyboard with a key travel measuring 2 millimeters and an actuation weight of 62 grams. The key spacing is good and the keys are also placed in the correct location. These are no mechanical keys, but that does not trouble during any type of gaming and the response is super swift all the time.
Weight would be the only troubling feature of the Asus ROG G752VS. And the fact that the ROG G752VS is so heavy makes it difficult carrying the machine around with you. This in turn transforms the definition of laptop mobility into something else. And why shouldn’t one just purchase a desktop instead of buying such a heavy machine. Well, even if it’s tremendously heavy, carrying it with you is in some way possible.

Well, if we look at the specifications of the Asus ROG G752VS, the specifications look very promising. Everything which is packed inside the machine is most recent and also best till date. Benchmark scores of the ROG G752 VS told us the same story. And we tested nearly 13 games on the machine to get the exact gaming experience of the machine. Let me give you the list of all the 13 games that we played.
- Call of duty Black Ops 2
- Titalfall 2
- WWE 2K17
- PES 2017
- Tomb Raider
- Rise of Tomb Raider
- Naruto Shippuden
- The Witcher 3 Wild hunt
- Fifa 17
- Fallout 4
- GTA 5
- Outlast 2
- Resident Evil 7
The Asus ROG G752 VS ran every game smoothly without any frame shift or lag. Performance was super during all the gaming sessions. And even after some marathon gaming sessions, there was no drop in the performance at all. Also, even at Ultra settings, the machine performed exceptionally well without breaking a sweat.
However, the only issue that we encountered during the ROG G752VS gaming testing session was when the machine was running on battery. There was a major drop in performance and the frames also got affected by the power that battery was delivering. We recommend using the laptop connected to the wall plug during gaming. And there was also a major fall in performance when software was getting installed in the background on the ROG G752 VS laptop.
The ROG G752 VS has Asus’ own Sonic Studio speakers that are placed at the bottom rear side of the display panel. The sound due to their position gets affected. This in turn may deliver a surround sound, however not very loud. So, if you wish to enjoy gaming or music by turning the speakers on, that would not a good idea. Headphones will be needed most of the times.
During our everyday use, the Asus ROG G752VS performed really well most of the time. The temperatures were under 95-degrees, which was really impressive considering it to be a gaming PC. However, only during the intense gaming sessions, the temperatures touched a mark of nearly 129-degrees, which is too much. And you can’t use the machine for very long keeping it on your lap.
The Asus ROG G752 VS performed average during battery test. Standby time is fantastic but the battery life during the gaming session is as much as any high-end gaming laptop available in the market. It could deliver a battery life as high as 3 hours 30 minutes during regular use.
The Asus ROG G752 VS is a high end gaming laptop that can play any type of high-end game you want. Its future ready for VR connectivity and has all the latest specifications to fulfil all your PC needs for the next 3-4 years in current scenarios. The performance of the machine never disappoints, display is bright and lively and the keyboard is also very impressive. However, it’s very heavy and carrying it around with you would not be a good idea, also the battery life is not very impressive on the laptop.
