Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 Review

Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 is the latest mobile phone, which comes as a big surprise in a budget segment. The latest release from Micromax comes with Android ICS OS and is powered with high speed 1GHz processor. Available at an affordable price range, the phone is packed with features that match the traits of high-end smartphones.

Also, available with dual-SIM functionality, A68 Smarty 4.0 comes with a full touchscreen, which has resolution of that has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels that are known for producing vibrant display quality. Also, the new entrant from Micromax is available with some of the latest apps and tools.

In terms of design and looks, A68 Smarty 4.0 is slim and light weight mobile phone. It measures 65.5mm x 9.9mm x 12.7mm in dimensions, making the device quite sleek and comfortable to hold. Also, A68 measures low in weight and comes with good build quality. Made using plastic material, the phone gives a cool premium look wits its smooth and blackish grey edges, though it comes with a glossy finishing.

A68 has 3 touch sensitive buttons (Home, Back and Menu options) at the bottom of the front panel below the screen and the rear panel houses Micromax badge at the bottom, camera along with flash placed at the top left and speaker at the bottom left. Overall, the stylish design and finishing makes this phone look superior.

Powered with 1 GHz MT6515 Processor and 512MB RAM, Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 seems to look a powerful device. But is it actually? Though we do get a good phone with brilliant specs but truth cannot be denied that it might function slowly if we get in indulged in multitasking. With 1GHz processor, the phone seems good for gaming as it produces superior graphics.

As for storage is concerned, A68 comes with 2GB internal space and includes microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. Further, the phone comes with 4.0 inches IPS capacitive touchscreen and has been provided with a 5MP camera. One thing which didn’t made sense is, when Micromax launched A68 with such good specs, why did it not include a front camera. This came as a big disappointment for most of those who thought it would at least have a secondary VGA camera.

We would not say that Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 is must have phone because all of us have different points of view, especially when it comes to Micromax handsets. Though it comes with Android ICS 4.0 OS and includes a capacitive touchscreen, it doesn’t mean phone met the expectations of each one of us. But for those, who are looking for decent Android device at a reasonable cost, A68 can prove to be a good phone.Other features that A68 is known for are:

A decent mobile phone with good spec sheet, Micromax A68 does have attracted most of the mid-income consumers. Though A68 Smarty 4.0 comes with impressive hardware and software features, it lacks in long race. The brand has missed out some important traits in this phone that would have made A68 a better phone. Also, if we go through the Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 Review, it seems that Micromax should have worked more on this phone. Priced at INR 6,500, Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 seems to have mixed responses from the techies.
