Announced in February 2012, Samsung Galaxy Pocket is all set to join the Samsung mobiles band wagon soon. It would be the latest addition to their Galaxy (entry level smart phones) series, which has been rapidly penetrating into the smart phone market and has even become a threat to the other phones of it capacity. Maintaining its USP of providing feature phones at affordable rates, Samsung Galaxy Pocket is being launched to take the legacy further.
Following the trend of sleek phones these days; Samsung Galaxy Pocket is just 11.9 mm thick and weighs just about 97 grams. This phone too, has a typical Samsung look to it. Its small sized, cute looking plastic frame truly justifies its name and is designed to fit in comfortably in your pocket. However, the 2.8- inches TFT capacitive touch screen, with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, has nothing to boast of.
This latest Samsung production is being placed even under the Samsung mini 2 family. Though it covers almost all basic Android features and supports most of the apps on Google Play Store, it just fails to impress majorly because of its poor resolution display screen. A budget hand set like this is not expected to give you a feel and experience of using a power house smart phone anyways. However, for your basic smart phone usage (not including too much of web browsing or playing games), Samsung Galaxy Pocket can be considered as a viable option. Samsung Galaxy Pocket price in India is around 8000 INR.
The launch date of this device is yet to be given by Samsung, but it is expected to hit the market fairly soon.
