Introduction

Sony BX420 has come up as the least cost 1080p TV for the year by Sony and it's a very good value for the investment. The entry level non-LED TV is a formidable winner if looked into with curiosity and wide open eyes. It also is a surprise element for a 60Hz TV as it handles 1080p/24 intonation efficiently and its matte screen is beautiful in bright rooms.

Design&Feel

The BX-240’s styling is clean and its remote is among the best in its class. The basic Sony remote is formidable winner despite its bantam size. A good thought over number of buttons are arranged into areas logically differentiated by shape, size and color. The menu is very understandable, simple and satisfying. The Sony BX420 cannot be said to have the perfect picture quality. But holding an entry-level LCD tag, it does not fair bad. Being inefficient in handling color accuracy in dark areas giving imperfect screen uniformity, the all in one has black levels much decent in comparison to the others and it further brilliantly handles 1080p/24 cadence.

Hardware&Performance

If the affected parameters are not emphasized on too much, then the BX420 fairs better than its rivals. The matt screen is a marvel which subsidizes the effect of objects in a very bright lit room. The BX420 does not perform well as a big PC monitor via VGA. The device displays softness in text and several other detailing despite of handling the full resolution of 1,920x1080 pixels. The response is far much better for the PC sources via HDMI.

FinalVerdict

Verdict The BX420 Review indicates that it comes with a few advantages and yet another negatives. It only has two HDMI inputs while most of the others have three or even four. The screen shows bright corners with colors not being aptly displayed. But considering it at the entry level relaxes it of many of the above. If the expectations are not very high, then Sony KDL-BX420 LCD may be a pleasant surprise and a fun box. Sony KDL-BX420 Price in India is placed at INR 33,750
